The Rating and Valuation Department ("the RVD") is concerned to ensure that all personal data submitted through the Property Information Online (“the PIO”) are handled in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
The RVD will record visits to the PIO without collecting any personal identifiable information of users. Such general statistics are collected for the compilation of statistical reports and the diagnosis of problems with concerning computer systems to help the RVD improve the PIO service.
Unless permitted or required by law, the RVD will not disclose your personal data to any unauthorized third parties without your prior consent. All personal data you provide to the RVD via the PIO are secured, and access to them is restricted to authorized personnel only.
